The Difference Between One-Time Services & Year-Round Pest Control

The difference between a one-time pest control service and year-round pest control service is quite a bit. A one-time service you are covered for the one specific pest issue you’ve got going on. You get the first treatment, follow-ups if needed, and 2 or 3 month warranty, depending on the service. With year-round pest control service you are covered for 99% of residential pests throughout the year (12+ month warranty). So you can start with a one-time pest control service and then upgrade to the year-round pest control service, and be covered for the whole 12 months!

So take for example if you have spiders in Oakdale and you’re looking for one-time pest control Oakdale, you could get our one-time crawling insect treatment that comes with a simple interior treatment, or interior and exterior treatment, depending on the weather (winter or any other season, respectively) and get a 2 month warranty. Or, you could get our Peak Seasons Plan, start with this first service and get at least 2 other services throughout the year!

Or maybe you are tired of the boxelder bugs in Eden Prairie and you’re looking for one-time pest control Eden Prairie. You could get our Fall Exterior Power Spray separately, otherwise it is part of our Peak Seasons Plan!

Perhaps you’ve found that you have had some water damage in Maple Grove and you’re looking for one-time pest control Maple Grove MN for carpenter ants. You could get our one-time carpenter ant treatment separately, otherwise it is part of our Peak Seasons Plan!

Maybe you’ve got mice in Lakeville and you’re looking for one-time pest control Lakeville MN. By all means, check out our one-time mouse service, but know that mice are included in our Peak Seasons Plan and you could be covered from them all year long! We always offer upgrades to our year-round pest control program with any one-time service for an insect or rodent pest that is included in our Peak Seasons Plan.

What Pests Are Included in Year-Round Pest Control

There is a short answer and a long answer for the pests that are included in year-round pest control. The short answer I like to give is: anything crawling, jumping, flying, stinging, mice and rats, are included in our Peak Seasons Plan. Short, sweet, and to the point.

But we can go a little deeper than that still simply: any residential pest is included. This means anything that is trying to make it’s home on your home: like spiders and wasps, or anything that is trying to get inside your home: like seasonal ants and fall invading insects. This does not include yard pests, which we will explain in the next section.

We do cover things that you may not expect, however. We cover you for cockroaches, should you ever need. We also cover Japanese beetles and June bugs, because they are often on bushes next to homes.

We strive to be comprehensive, so we cover 99% of residential pests with our Peak Seasons Plan! And if you ever have any questions of what is included, if something random pops up, just give us a call and ask before you go buy some bug spray.

The Peak Seasons Plan is a wonderful year-round pest control plan for all residential pest control needs! We even wrote an article so folks can know if the Peak Seasons Plan is for them. Ultimately, it is the best proactive thing you can do for your home pest-wise. It’s like how going to the doctor for check-ups is great preventative medicine. Having the Peak Seasons Plan for your home is the most effective form of pest control: preventative pest control!

Some companies call it seasonal pest control service. Annual pest control is synonymous with seasonal pest control. We even have an article detailing 28 Reasons to have 4 Seasons Pest Control aka our Peak Seasons Plan, our annual pest control plan.

What Pests Are Not Included in Year-Round Pest Control

Listing the pests that are not included in year-round pest control services are much easier and more straight forward. Simply put, any yard pests are not included, bed bugs are not included, and squirrels and larger are not included.

Yard pests like mosquitoes, ticks, and biting gnats are not included in the Peak Seasons Plan.  For our seasonal Mosquito and Tick Plan, check it out, or one-time mosquito and tick treatments are available here as well.

Yard pests like moles and voles are not included in the Peak Seasons Plan. For our seasonal mole service, we use a carbon dioxide machine to kill off these pests quickly for a one-time mole service or regularly if you’re near an area where you can’t eradicate them. We do offer a vole add-on service to our Peak Seasons Plan, but it is additional cost, as it is an additional service.

We do offer one-time squirrel removal services, but we aren’t able to offer these services all the time, so it’s best to just call and ask if you need this service. We generally remove them from attics and crawl spaces.

Finally, bed bugs are less of a residential pest, and they aren’t a common need for residential pest control. We have the best services for these pests, but they are always separate from our pest control programs. Our one-time bed bug service is top-notch and much cheaper than heat treatments for bed bugs.

For the best pest control services that are comprehensive and cover 99% of residential pests (with the 1% being mosquitoes, ticks, moles, and voles, check out our Peak Seasons Plan!)

FAQs About Year-Round Pest Control

At the end of the day, most folks like to really look into vendors they are hiring to complete work at their home. It’s natural. And we do love the opportunity to talk everything through on the phone. But there are still folks who like to get all of their questions or most of their questions answered online and just set things up on the phone, via call or text, or via email.

How much pest control costs per year depends on what pests you are treating at your home and the size of your home. We have different prices per pest issue for our one-time services and straight-forward pricing for our year-round pest control prices. But the cost does differ on the size of home and type of home, so it’s best to call to get a free quote!

The answer depends on which company you ask.

We would say that squirrels are the most intensive pest to remove and they require daily follow-ups for live trapping procedures through state laws.

If you have a current pest issue you’ve been dealing with for longer than a few weeks, it’s time to call Done Right Pest Solutions. We are experts and have competent, comprehensive services to fit your needs. Once you get rid of an issue, it shouldn’t come back for a long time.

With Minnesota and Wisconsin weather, seasonal pests come and go. So that is something to keep in mind. Pests can kind of be like illness- you can’t guarantee that you’ll never get sick ever again. You can’t guarantee that you’ll never get pests ever again.

But, with our awesome year-round pest control company, you can pretty much guarantee that you won’t get charged again for issues that come up throughout the year.

For residential properties, at most you should need pest control quarterly. There is no reason why one should need monthly, unless there is an old limestone foundation with grave deficiencies letting a lot of mice and you’re not fixing it, then monthly might help. But fixing the foundation would solve the issue.

At Done Right Pest Solutions, our philosophy is that if we are treating your home preventatively on the inside and outside in the spring and fall, and just exterior in the summer, you shouldn’t need us in the winter. So, 3 times per year should suffice!

Pest control costs vary per company and per service that you need. But a comprehensive residential annual pest control program should cost around $1-3 per day, depending on the size of your home.

Many companies offer low prices, but not high quality service. Some companies offer high prices, and sometimes good quality service, sometimes not so good quality service.

We’re in between in terms of cost, but our quality remains a high standard!

The reason for this difference is the warranty period. Our one-time services come with a 2 or 3 month warranty, while our year-round pest control services come with a 12 month warranty!

Professionals use quality commercial-grade pest control products and chemicals that are much more widely tested and approved for safety and efficiency than any over-the-counter product.
