Residential Pest Control — Lake Elmo Pest Control
Aside from our many 1x services that we have available, that are listed and described on our Services Page, we also offer complete packages as well, for all of your residential pest control needs.
Peak Seasons Plan:
- Initial treatment
- You are calling Done Right Pest Solutions for a reason. No matter the time of year, we will take care of whatever the pest issue is, as long as it’s included in the Peak Seasons Plan.
- Then, if anything comes up in between that treatment and the next season’s treatment, let us know!
- Spring treatment – interior and exterior – spring pest control
- The spring treatment consists of interior treatment. All bugs try to hibernate in houses and other warm structures.
- We also treat the entire exterior of the home, from foundation to soffits. This full treatment provides a barrier for your entire home from any spring pest activity too!
- Our technicians use their web pole to remove any past pest activity like spider webs and wasp nests.
- Finally, we also check the foundation to make sure no new entry points for mice formed over the winter.
- Summer treatment – exterior only – summer pest control
- The summer treatment is a simple treatment. The main pests of summer are crawling pests such as carpenter ants. We treat the exterior foundation about 3 feet up and 3 feet out.
- If you have any interior concerns, we will check them out! Typically, interior treatment is not needed in the summer season.
- If there are any signs of stinging insect activity up by the soffits and facia we may spray there preventatively.
- Again, our technicians remove any spider webs and wasp nests that may have formed.
- Fall treatment – interior and exterior – fall pest control
- The fall treatment includes another full exterior spray of the house, from foundation to soffits. This full treatment is necessary for the intense fall invading insects that may try to over-winter inside your home.
- We also treat the interior preventatively for mice and insects, gearing up for winter.
- Our technicians remove any spider webs and wasp nests one last time before winter.
- And we do a thorough check of the foundation, closing any entry points that have not been sealed.
- Winter – as needed – winter pest control
- There is no scheduled visit for a winter treatment.
- Let us know if any issues come up.
- The Peak Seasons Plan includes routine mouse control so you don’t get mice inside over the winter!
Mosquito & Tick Plan:
- A pet- and child-friendly product once it dries (in about an hour, give or take with weather or wind speed)
- A perimeter barrier spray around your yard, adorning any ornamentation like fences, trees, etc. to separate your yard from your neighbors’ (and your neighbors’ mosquitoes)
- Treatment of all harborage areas, these are areas where mosquitoes and ticks like to hang out and breed: trees, bushes, shrubs, tall grasses, etc.
- Another barrier application around any of your prime activity spots of your yard (decks, patios, fire pits, swing sets, trampolines, etc.
- The technician will also inspect your yard for any surprising areas that mosquitoes and ticks could be breeding (like cracks in the patio)
Seasonal Mole Service:
This is one of our favorite services to perform because we do things differently than every other pest control company in the Twin Cities, metro area. We use a carbon dioxide machine to pump CO2 into the mole tunnels, and then we stomp them down. This is completely safe, child- and pet-friendly due to non-chemical usage.
Other companies use poison bait, worms, or pellets into the tunnels for the moles to eat. But, as we have learned, and what we’ve described in our Ultimate Guide to Mole Control blog guide, moles save up the worms they find. They dig a space to keep them and store them up over time, so that means that using poison bait or worms won’t ever be effective, because it may be months before they eat the worms!
- Seasonal service consists of monthly, or more regularly, depending on your needs.
- The technician will come to your property and inspect mole activity, pump CO2 into the mole runs, and then stomp them down.
- Sometimes just our 1x Mole Service will suffice, but if you live near a preserve, woods, railroad tracks, an airport, a lake, river, pond, etc. basically anywhere moles run free, then our Seasonal Mole Service is your best bet.
- This service comes with a seasonal warranty, so if you ever see any new mole activity in between routine services, just give us a call!
Vole Add On to the Peak Seasons Plan:
Voles have become quite the nuisance pest, especially in new developments or large, wooded yards during the many snowfall events of 2022-2023 we received. Because of the increase in activity, we treat for voles in a unique way, contrary to our competition here in the Twin Cities as well.
We use a unique, upside-down T-shaped trap, that is specific to voles (and mice can fit in them), but squirrels, chipmunks, gophers, raccoons, you name it, can’t get in to these bait stations. We find that it is safer for these other wildlife and more effective for the voles.
Think about it, if you have large exterior bait stations which several types of rodents can get into, you may think, “woohoo extra pest control!” or you may think, “oh no, less pest control.” If other pests are eating the bait for the voles, there is less bait available for the voles.
So, with this added protection, our vole service is more effective, and only an added cost to our residential annual pest control program.
- Seasonal service consists of 2x monthly monitoring of these upside-down T-shaped traps
- Service as needed, meaning as the vole issue gets under control, appointments may move to every 3 weeks or every 4 weeks, roughly.
- This is added on the the normal, at least 3 annual services, one in the spring, one in the summer, one in the fall, as a part of the Peak Seasons Plan.
